QRA was originally started in early 1995 to provide an online resource for the New Zealand gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities.

This site was originally on a US server and then in 1995 becamepart of nz.com glb site.

In 2001 the site moved to it current domain qrd.org.nz

In our 10th year we are bringing together a large amount of content from various sites under the qra banner. Please bear with us while we fix up all the links and bring all the content up to date but feel free to let us know of any issues.

The site has a sister site lesbian.net.nz and provides free websites for a number of community groups.
